According to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, from September 2025 to April 2026, Kazakhstan exported 11.1 million tons of grain and flour in grain equivalent, marking a 13% increase compared to 9.8 million tons during the same period a year earlier.

The growth was driven by steady demand in traditional export markets, improved logistics, and government support measures for the agricultural sector.

Significant increases were recorded across key destinations. Exports to Uzbekistan rose by 13.8% to 9.3 million tons, shipments to Kyrgyzstan grew 1.6 times to 440 thousand tons, supplies to Afghanistan increased by 51% to 1.8 million tons, and exports to Turkmenistan expanded 1.5 times to 183 thousand tons.

This upward trend highlights the strong competitiveness of Kazakh grain in international markets and reinforces the country’s position as a leading agricultural exporter in the region. Efforts to diversify export destinations, enhance transport and logistics infrastructure, and increase value-added production are ongoing.
