Kazakh Invest – Nurzhan Abilkhayir, the Director of the Investment Promotion and Marketing Department at "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC, held a meeting with representatives of the Malaysian airline AirAsia X.
AirAsia X flies to 25 countries around the world. In March 2024, the airline will launch a flight on the Kuala Lumpur - Almaty – Kuala Lumpur route, opening direct flights between Kazakhstan and Malaysia for the first time. This project will significantly simplify Kazakhstanis' access to Southeast Asia's leading economic and tourist markets. It will positively impact the growth of business activity and cultural and humanitarian ties, increase trade, expand investment cooperation, and attract tourist flow to Kazakhstan.

In this regard, the company's representatives expressed a desire to develop similar projects in Kazakhstan to enter the Central Asian market.
N. Abilkhayir told the representatives about Kazakhstan's investment climate, the activities of JSC " NC "KAZAKH INVEST," and state support measures, inviting the Malaysian company to cooperate further.
Benjamin Bin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia X, noted the company's interest in developing joint partnerships in logistics, tourism, and infrastructure and also stressed the readiness to open the company's representative office in Kazakhstan.
